Chris Heidel - It was a beautiful day for a football game here in the Baltimore Metro area between the Great Danes of Albany and the Morgan State Bears. Both teams traded punts in their first couple of series early in the first quarter but remained scoreless after first the 15 mins. Late 2nd Quarter, Will Brunson found Jordan Crockett for a 34 yard TD, goving Albany a 7-0 lead over Bears at the half.
Karl Mofor ran for a 5 yard TD, capping off a 7 play drive in the early part of 3rd Quarter to increase their lead to 13-0 over the Bears. Morgan State offense hasn't scored any points since the last game of 2016. Ethan Stark made 32 yard FG to give Great Danes 16-0 with 2 mins left in the 3rd Quarter. Mofor’s 2nd Rushing TD this afternoon gave the Great Danes a commanding lead over Morgan State by score 23-0 after 3rd Quarter. The Great Danes continued to increase their lead with an 8 play drive that ended with a 41 yard FG by Stark, the 2nd FG of the game and a lead of 26-0 over the Bears. The Bears offense only could muscle 6 first downs in this game. Coach Gattuso did a great job using 2 QB'S in this game, switching back and forth from Brunson and Sussman this afternoon. The Bears offense tried to get on the scoreboard at end of the game but the Great Danes defense stopped them at 2 yard line to seal up the win.
